Patients' Organisations Forum

FOP formats

Main Forum

The Forum of Patient Organisations (FOP) is Poland's largest annual conference aimed at patient organisations. For more than two decades, it has been a space for dialogue between representatives of the patient community and decision-makers, experts and institutions of the health care system.

The event brings together hundreds of participants, addresses key healthcare topics and serves to empower patients in decision-making processes.

miniFOP

The mini-FOP is a new formula for meetings, organised periodically throughout the year in a smaller group without an audience. It enables in-depth discussion on specific topics, ongoing exchange of experiences and joint development of recommendations.

The mini-FOP complements the main Forum by ensuring continuity of dialogue and collaboration between the patient community and institutions.

20 years of strengthening patient organisations

The 20th Patient Organisation Forum is the anniversary edition of the most important event in Poland dedicated to the patient community. For two decades, it has been a space for dialogue between the leaders of organisations and representatives of public institutions responsible for health policy. Last year, the Forum had a European character due to the Polish Presidency of the EU, while this year's edition will emphasise the continuity of activities and the importance of patient organisations in shaping the healthcare system. The Forum promotes integration within the community, the exchange of experiences and the presentation of patients' perspectives on key challenges such as quality of care, medical innovation and the development of systemic solutions.

Every year, the Forum brings together representatives of associations and foundations from across the country, and the participation of experts, decision-makers and representatives of the administration gives this event a real impact on decision-making processes. The focus remains on patients' experiences – their needs, barriers and expectations of the healthcare system. The Forum serves as a platform for cooperation between organisations operating in various therapeutic areas, strengthening their voice and supporting joint activities to improve the quality of life of patients.
